BUY IT HERE:Original 1968 Adverts! COMMENTS: Released at the apex of his popularity, this was Feliciano's most successful album. It reached number two, largely on the strength of his only big hit single, "Light My Fire" (which is featured here). Soulful easy listening is an oxymoron, but this is about as close as that fusion gets to reality, with passionate vocals and virtuosic flamenco guitar. Besides "Light My Fire," ait's dominated by interpretations of '60s hits like "Sunny" and "California Dreamin'," as well as three Lennon-McCartney tunes. Noted jazz bassist Ray Brown is one of the supporting musicians. -- Richie Unterberger, All Music Guide SONGS: California Dreamin' (Philips) Light My Fire (Morrison/Manzarek) Don't Let Sun Catch You Crying (Marsden/Chadwick) In My Life (Lennon / McCartney) And I Love Her (INSTRUMENTAL) (Lennon / McCartney) Nena Na Na (Beam) (There's) Always Something There To Remind Me (Bacharach/David) Just A Little Bit Of Rain (Neil) Sunny (Hebb) Here There And Everywhere (INSTRUMENTAL) (Lennon / McCartney) The Last Thing On My Mind (Paxton) CREDITS: Produced by Rick Jarrard Arranged by Gerge Tipton, Jose Feliciano and Perry Botkin Jr. Jose Feliciano: Guitar and vocal Jim Horn (flute, alto flute, recorder); Ray Brown (bass); Milt Holland (percussion).Reissue CD producer: Chick Crumpacker.
