COMMENTS:
This was a great attempt to make a Jose's return at top
of the international charts, and effectly all was ok in this album: music,
style, songs, guitar and arrangements all with a great touch of Rick Jarrard
then return to help Jose after many years. Unfortunately failed the charts,
Motown probably think to Jose only for Latin albums and market. After this
Jose make a latin album (a great hit in Latin countries), leave Motown
and the international discography for many years.
Anyway You must have this LP, like at start of his career:
great versions of oldies like "Lonely Teardops", "Play Me"
and "I Feel Fine" but also some songs write by Jose and great
variety. I like also "So Into You" the instrumental "Cuidado"
and the wonderfull "Romance In The Night"
ORIGINAL BILLBOARD REVIEW - RECOMMENDED
Feliciano is an extraordinary singer/songwriter/guitarist
whose gifts often exceed the material he performs. Every now and again,
though, Feliciano puts it all together, and the results are sometimes electrifying.
Most dynamic, as always, are his soulful versions of goldies like "Lonely
Teardrops," "Play Me" and the Beatles' "I Feel Fine."
